Flowering Plants of Travancore

In the South Indian Peninsula the Malabar cost is the richest in vegetation and has been famous from ancient times as the store house of valuable medicinal plants and timber trees. The native state of Travancore comprise a large section of the coast and the main portion of the Western Ghats falls within its limits. The author has given Botanical descriptions of the flowering plants of the region. There are 3535 different plants listed. Along with their Botanical descriptions the author has given where available the english name, locality flowering season and use.
